Happy Gotcha Day!!!

Happy Gotcha Day to my amazing little girl! I can't believe a year ago today, we held you in our arms for the first time. What a difference you have made in our lives. Your smile is infectious and lights up the room. You are so curious and smart. We love you more and more each day and can't imagine what life was like without you in it!

I have not been good about keeping up on this blog, but today is a very special day! Sydney has had a great year. She has adjusted so well, better than I ever could have hoped. Of course things haven't been perfect. We went through a season of temper tantrums because she couldn't express in words how she was feeling, but now she is fully fluent in English and has no problem expressing herself! :)
She is happy and healthy. She has gotten glasses and had some dental work done, other than that we have had no health issues. She started Kindergarten at Keno Elementary this year in the regular classroom and is doing well. She is learning to write her name and recognize and write letters. She loves her teacher and says she has lots of friends. She idolizes her sister Grace and wants to do everything she does, much to Grace's dismay at times ;). Grace is a great big sister and is always watching out for Sydney. She looks after her at school and at home and makes sure she is taken care of. Of course they fight, just like sisters should, but there is a deep bond and love there that makes my heart melt. Here are a few recent pictures of Sydney.
